How do I backup my current Blogger Template?


Before uploading a new Blogger template, it’s always a good idea to save your current template. To minimize your risks, you can also create a test blog just to try out the templates you want to install.

To back up your template in the new Blogger:


1. Log into your blog dashboard, then enter the Theme section.

 


2. Look for the three-dot menu and click on it. Then select Backup and click Download.

 


3. Save the template as a .xml with a descriptive name and the date as the file name.

If you experience problems with the new model, you can reinstall this backup file.

To back up your current template, open Themes and look for the Backup/Restore button; After that, click the Download button and save the file.
